I am grateful for my many blessings...In moments of stress and tiredness I sit in stillness for awhile, listen to the sounds
around me and appreciate the preciousness of this life we all share!
A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile
often, dream big, laugh a lot and realize how blessed you are for what
you have.
I am the original, the first, Jardinami. My name is Diane Dunwell-Hoffman. All the rest are frauds! I had first taken the
Screen Name or User Name of Jardinami when I had been a member of the Rod McKuen Message Board/Rod's Garden back in the mid
nineties.
I combined the French word Jardin(Garden) with the French word Ami(Friend). Thus Garden Friend.I am the wife of Roger William
Hoffman, mother of Jennifer and Jamiann. Each daughter is married with three children each, and each have two girls and a
boy.
I am the third born of the five children of Ruth and William Dunwell. I grew up and lived most of my life in Alpha, NJ. Both
of my parents were very creative and entrepreneurial. I learned how to be a "people person" as an aprentice in several of
our family run businesses.
Our mother loved to cook, bake, decorate our home, and craft. We learned much from her, but the most important thing
we learned from her was to love unconditionally, and forgive easily.
Several of our lifelong friends have mentioned how Mom always had a radio on, and there was always music and singing in our
home.
My sister Ruth Ann, Rod McKuen, and Me
I have always loved the arts, and entertainment field. John Denver and Rod McKuen are two of my all time favorite entertainers.
I have always loved all the actors and performers of my parent's generation like, Mickey Rooney, Judy Garland, Bob Hope, and
Bing Crosby.
Meeting Jan and Mickey Rooney
My favorite movie is Meet Me In St. Louis, and my second favorite is Lady In White(Frank LaLoggia). I have been so blessed
to have gotten to know Rod McKuen I was thrilled to have met Mickey Rooney, and have developed an online friendship with
my mentor Frank LaLoggia the writer, director, producer, and actor.
I love to cook, bake, decorate my home, garden, oil painting, crafts, and entertain company. My favorite thing is to add Pizzazz
to everything, "Why have ordinary if you can have extraordinary?"
I had some injuries to my spine and left side in
2004 during a fall. Since that time I have been blessed to have my two daughters and several grandchildren that help me accomplish
all those things I have always enjoyed doing before the fall.In turn through my direction they have learned to expand on their
own creative energies!
